Welcome

Welcome to the Keasy official website! Keasy can help you do many of the monotonous and boring tasks you do on your computer every day quickly by waiting for a certain keystroke and then doing the assigned action immediately. It's lightweight, quick, and can even be used to automate keyboard and mouse input!

Keasy is also open-source software, so it's free to use.

NOTICE (Sep. 2nd, 2009 @ 1:57 PM)

I regret to inform anyone that has been expecting Keasy to be improved that I can no longer work on this project. Recently I have switched to Ubuntu, and although I still have a way to test Keasy in a Windows environment, I have in all honesty lost interest in this project, mainly due to my disenchantment with Microsoft's Windows (of all flavors) and my realization that using a scripting language is not the best way to go. Some day I intend to reincarnate this project under a new name, but instead of being written in AutoIt3 and for Windows only, I intend to make it cross-platform and written in a more widely-accepted language. (i.e. C++)

If there is someone out there who would like to pick up this project and develop it further, please feel free to do so. The Keasy source code remains open-source, and you may modify it all you like. Heck, you could even re-write it if you'd like to.

So, once again, sorry to drop this project. It was fun for the while I was working on it, but if I am to spend this much time on a project I would like it to be able to reach a broader audience regardless of the operating system that they may use. Compatibility is much more important to me than simplicity.

What is Keasy?

Keasy is a program meant for the purpose of automating common computing tasks at the press of a keystroke. Keasy can handle many hotkeys at once, and all settings are stored in easy-to-read standard format INI files.

What are the features?

Some of the features are:

+ Ability to automate input, open files, and execute commands using a single user-defined keystroke
+ Pause function to quickly enable or disable Keasy
+ "System hotkeys" to control Keasy on the fly
+ "Keyfile list" for fast switching between user keyfiles
+ "Global hotkeys" to use no matter what user keyfile is selected
+ Quick and efficient notification of events
+ Auto-reloading of settings files
+ All settings handled in INI form
+ Display mouse coordinates in a tooltip
+ Built-in update checker

What platforms are supported?

Windows NT and newer versions of Windows (NT, 2000, XP, Vista, etc.) are able to run Keasy. Keasy should be able to be run under an emulated environment such as Virtual PC or VMWare. However, it is uncertain that Keasy will work under all environment emulators.

Where can I download Keasy?

You can download the latest version from the "quick download" box in the top-left of the window. Simply click the most recent version (or an older version if you prefer) and your download will begin shortly after. Alternatively, you can visit our download section.

Please note that in order to open the file, you will need a program that can open 7-Zip file archives. You can get 7-Zip from it's official site.

Is Keasy free?

Keasy is open-source, meaning that the program and its source code is free, so go ahead and use it and distribute it all you want without ever paying anyone anything for it!
